How should you choose the right VLT for the windshield, side windows, and rear glass?

When choosing automotive window film, the windshield and the side or rear windows usually need to be evaluated with different priorities.

Windshield:

The windshield should prioritize clear visibility, day-and-night driving safety, and rainy-weather visibility, so higher visible light transmission is usually preferred.

Side and rear windows:

As long as visibility remains acceptable, side and rear windows can place more emphasis on privacy, glare reduction, and heat rejection.

Practical advice:

Do not choose only by film darkness. Consider visible light transmission, reflectivity, heat-rejection needs, driving habits, and local regulations together. In night driving or underground parking conditions, an overly dark option may reduce rear and side visibility.
